The Mini Tote in Tokyo featuring Hal Hirata
Hello Tokyo! Get up close and personal with The Mini Tote, the ‘it bag’ that has officially launched in Tokyo. Join Hal Hirata as she takes us behind the scenes on the evening of her campaign shoot, sharing rare insights into her journey through the city of lights, music and dazzling colour.
Somewhere between the maze of Tokyo’s neon streets and graffiti-lined tunnels, we caught a few minutes with our Japanese campaign star, Hal Hirata. When it comes to self-empowerment through clothing and accessories, Hal has the edge. As a dancer and designer, Hal’s unique ability to curate an outfit inspired by her mood, her cultural cues, and her city's energy puts her well ahead of the trends. The Mini Tote in Shibuya Fuchsia is an extension of Hal’s dynamic personality.
MDS: How does The Mini Tote inspire a spirit of adventure in you?
HAL: It makes me want to go out and walk around the city casually, even when it's getting cold now.
MDS: Where is your favourite place to carry it and why?
HAL: Omotesando, where the face of the street changes from day to night. I also like to go to jazz bars and live music houses where I can be active and enjoy the sound with the compact Mini Tote bag.
MDS: In what ways is the colour unique to your city?
HAL: The powerful pink that appeals to you to expose yourself without blending into the city where many people meet.
MDS: What would you usually put inside The Mini Tote on a typical day?
HAL: My smart phone, cosmetics, and a notebook.
MDS: How does The Mini Tote celebrate your individuality?
HAL: Pink is a color I don't usually choose, so I think that this item will expand my fashion sense.
